I Dewa Putu Mokoh
and I Ketut Budiana

September 04 -
November 04, 2015

The Oberoi Hotel
Jalan Kayu Aya,
Kuta, Badung, Bali.
Pantai Seminyak.

This exhibition is dedicated to these two important artists, both with a different vision and plastic expression.
Ketut Budiana who has a clear mystical inspiration, and Dewa Mokoh with a pragmatic and ironic vision
Both influenced by the artistic movement Pita Maha, they interpret the visual Balinese tradition with their own strong imprint, positioning themselves in the opposite sides of the movement stylistic trajectory.

Ketut Budiana depicts the religious and traditional influence, transmitting it to his own interior and spiritual cosmos, binding the mythological shapes to his expressive poetry.
I Dewa Putu Mokoh transforms everyday life traditional painting canons, by experimenting with shapes and colours that take distance from established conformism.
Both archetypes belong to the current iconographic tradition, but their plastic interpretation makes them outsiders from the established visual trajectory.
